Graphic Designer

Valeco Recruitment are delighted to be supporting our client further in hiring a permanent full time Graphic Designer to join their super hands on marketing team based out of their head office in Duns, with hybrid working available after you have joined and embedded into the team and business.

Our client is an established and now global brand where you will be working with the team across Edinburgh, Duns and the US. A retail business, with a passion for Scotland and it's heritage this is a rare opportunity for this new hire to come onboard and bring your own ideas and suggestions for this permanent opportunity. 

What will this role involve? 

• Become expert with our clients creation software, and modelling software, creating weaves and cut out and lifestyle imagery (drapes) to the very highest standard. Full training will be provided.
• Suggest new marketing communications opportunities 
• Understand how the process operates on our website, uploading and problem solving as required.
• Take product pictures and prepare images for use in different formats – web, print, social media etc.
• Organise photoshoots as part of the team, working with external photographers as required, with a longer term plan for the designer to take the photos at shoots.
• Organise our image bank, maintaining consistent file naming structures.
• Produce all printed and digital material from initial concept to finished work, liaising with external providers as required.
• Edit all video content, suggesting changes or improvements to existing formats.
• Have a good understanding of the website Content Management System,especially the display of images and videos.
• Work with the International Brand Manager on the overall branding for the business and seasonal themes.

What do we require from you?

• At least 3 years’ experience in print, video and web design work.
• Detailed knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Indesign and PremierePro.
• Good working knowledge of website CMS and the ability to learn other systems and platforms 
• Excellent team working and communication skills
