Finance Assistant
Valeco Recruitment are delighted to be supporting our client who are an established Legal firm who span over 170 years and now they are on the market to hire a permanent full time Finance Assistant to join a small and hands on team.
With offices in the heart of Edinburgh our client is offering a hybrid role, days are depending on the needs of your departments duties and deadlines.
What will your role involve?
- Reviewing and processing client fund transactions daily
- Process client and the firm's payment transactions
- Following anti laundering legislation
- Managing client funds along with opening and closing accounts as required on the online banking system
- Processing interest into designated accounts
- Preparing daily banking
- Daily, weekly and monthly reconciliations
- Quarterly reconciliations ensuring all un-reconciled items are resolved
- Reviewing all client fund ledgers
- Running daily reports and reporting findings or resolving
- Purchase ledger
- Credit control to name a few.
What do we require?
- Prior experience in a similar role
- Be able to work in a busy department, managing workload and deadlines while remaining professional always
- First class communication skills
- Proactive with a, "Can do" attitude
- Have worked in the Legal industry preferably or have worked in an Accountancy Firm
- PC literate with confidence in using Word, Excel and Outlook.
