Valeco Recruitment are delighted to be working and supporting our client on an exclusive basis to recruit a permanent full time Marketing and Communications Assistant to join their small and friendly team in Edinburgh.

Due to business growth and success this opportunity has arisen and this is an excellent opportunity for an industry professional who has gained some experience in a similar role and you are now looking for the next step in your career.

Based in a small but growing business and team your role will be to provide support across communications, marketing, media relations along with PR. 

Ok, so what are the daily duties and tasks expected in this role? 

• Produce content for social media platforms, newsletters, blogs and industry articles 
• Develop and organise events for clients and deal with sponsorship opportunities 
• Collating content for media publications, creating features and managing the print deadlines
• Stakeholder management 
• Develop and implementing marketing and PR activities across the organisation 
• Understanding our clients audience and looking at ways of engaging successfully 
• When allowed attending events and working in organising these for clients 
• First point of contact for all media and PR enquiries over the telephone and via email 
• Business analyse for your manager on marketing and communication activity 
• Working with budgets and understanding profit and loss 
• Building up and working with many internal business partners and establishing long lasting relationships 
• Responsible for all social media daily and ensuring all posts are accurate and posted to each deadline set

• You will have a proven track record in the above duties this is essential
• Gained either College or University qualification that is relevant in marketing and communications 
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Be able to present to a variety of business leaders face to face and virtual
• Quick learner where you will be able to understand and learn our clients industry promptly 
• Creative individual and above all a fun team player!
