Industrial Door Engineer

Originally founded in 1995 Grange Door Systems aims to offer all our clients the very best service available in the design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of automatic doors, electric barriers, electric gates, fire shutters, loading bay doors and roller shutters in Scotland.

Due to continual growth and expansion, we are looking to recruit an experienced Industrial Door Engineer to join our team in the south side of Edinburgh (just off the City Bypass). We are happy to consider candidates with a general understanding of the industry, maybe an engineer's assistant who wants to take the next step and become an engineer themselves. We would also consider candidates with general engineering and fabrication skills who want to learn and become engineers.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Installing, repairing and maintaining automatic doors, automatic barriers and gates, fire curtains, fire shutters, industrial doors, commercial entrance doors and barriers

- Working in a team, as well as independently

- Fault finding

- Be part of a call out rota schedule

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

- Professional, organised, flexible, diligent and conscientious

- Good communication skills

- Previous field service experience within the industry, although we would consider motivated/mechanically skilled engineers

- Automatic door and door entry system experience would be a great advantage (but not essential)

- Experience with manual and electrical doors

- Fabrication skills

- Mechanical Engineering skills

- Electrical skills

- Drivers License – (Ideally clean)

- Ability to work overtime when required

- Must be able to pass security check
